We marketers produce a lot of content … that consumers find boring. We like to say that nobody watches TV anymore … but have we looked at viewership figures – also for teenagers? And are we really exploiting to the full the huge amount of data that is available?
These are but a few of the Inconvenient truths of marketing in a digital era that will be discussed during the next STIMA Congress.
Why inconvenient? Because honesty forces us to say that we marketers have not so far really risen to the challenges posed by digital transformation.
So we have decided to face that reality. Don’t expect a collection of self-flagellation presentations though: yes there will be waking-up calls, yes it will sometimes hurt, but speakers will share positive experience, best practice, inspiring examples, tangible material that participants can implement in their work from the day after (well after a well-deserved week-end that is).
We must do better – and we can do better!
